| Uni West ABE Advanced Bond Evaluator The Advance Bond Evaluator (ABE) is an electronic microprocessor controlled sonic instrument designed to perform non-destructive testing of conductive and non-conductive adhesively bonded composite material and structures. It consists of a transmitter, receiver, digital control, power unit, a liquid crystal display (LCD) screen and an external hand held electromagnetic or elecromechanical probe. The ABE is a light weight (16.5 lb.), rugged splash proof NDT tool. It is powered from external AC/DC power or can be operated using its own internal 12 volt battery. Screen interpretation is simple and easy to read. Audible alarms can be set for amplitude and/or phase values, along with an alarm light indication on the probes. ABE also has a memory storage location that retains set up parameters regardless of ABE power status. ABE incorporates a RS-232 interface port that enables communication between ABE and computer periferals. |
