| U.S. Army T42A B55-B |
This T42-A started service with the U.S. Army. It was later used by the Department of Justice who converted it to the civilian B55-B designation. We flew the plane for business routinely around 200 KTS. Why is it so fast? The famous Colemill conversion adds IO-520, 285 H.P. engines, and quiet, smooth 3 blade props to this airframe (already one of the lightest Barons), which results in phenomenal climb, shorter take-off roll, and unbelievably fast cruise performance!! Paint and interior are both in very good condition. The military look paint scheme is very eye-catching, and as an added bonus you can park with the war birds at Oshkosh!! The left engine has 1689.6 since factory remanufacture The right engine has 851.6 since factory remanufacture. Both 3 blade props have 412.6 since overhaul This airplane is loaded!!!!! **** Full deice, boots on the wings, vertical and horizontal, as well as alcohol for the props and windshield! ** Vortex generators for slower, more controlled takeoff, landing, and maneuvering. ** Beryl D’Shannon speed sloped windshield. ** Dual control yoke, perfect for training, checkout, two pilot flying, etc. Pilots yoke is late style rams horn with stopwatch/clock and PTT switch. ** Full King IFR, Including: Dual KY 196 720 Channel Comms KNS 821 NAV/RNAV KN 53 NAV with KI-209 Glideslope indicator KT 76A Transponder with Mode “C” encoder Trimble TNL 2000 Approach GPS system, which is also indicated on the Argus 5000 moving map system King Marker Beacon Nat Audio control panel, with 4 place intercom This aircraft has 13,029.6 hours total time airframe, this was a military owned aircraft and maintained most of its life by the U.S. Army.
